Who we are

The RCA BioDesign Challenge [FOOD] introduces life sciences and biotechnologies to designers and artists through critical debates and empirical investigations. Students will be tasked to think, define and create new approaches for the future of food.

This is a collaborative project between:
Information Experience Design,
Textiles,
Fashion,
Innovation Design Engineering,
Design Products,
History of Design
and Imperial College London

About the Challenge

The Biodesign Challenge is an international competition that seeks to build relationships between designers and scientists. Eight teams are based in the RCA and one lucky winner will get to present and exhibit their work at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York from the 23-27th of June.
